IT has always been a personal interest.

First more of a support base in diverse applications and small business software.

Then I took it to the next step and now I’m an Engineer in an environment of 600+ servers (in a team of around 30 technical engineers).

I've teached for cvo leerstad for 2 years, 2 evenings in a week, primarily in Windows, but also Linux (Ubuntu, Centos).

Everyday I find myself working/testing with the following software:

Windows Server 2003 – 2012R2

Vmware / HyperV / Active Directory / Exchange

Kerio / Powershell / Centos / Ubuntu / Fortigate

HP Servers / HP switches / Zabbix / Microsoft SQL Server

Aside doing everyday tasks in creating/deleting users and helping users solving strange bugs, i've also completed follwoing projects:

Note that these projects are accomplished in a team that consists of the following: Project Team, Network team, System Team, Server Team, External Partners.

We were unable to update our sharepoint 2010 to SP2. So i've decided to setup a new cluster: sharepoint 2010 SP2 cluster and migrate all the solutions/contentdatabases of around 2000 users;

Maintaining a citrix farm of around 35 servers;

Migrate existing printer to Uniflow (Canon);

Write custom Powershell Scripts for backup/restore sql databases;

Write custom Powershell Scripts for CMDB Tool to automate import/exports via RESTAPI;

Started Innovation project to replace HP Terminal clients with raspberry pi's to connect to a citrix farm;

Design/Setup of an 3-node elastic cluster

In my spare time i also do IT projects on my own:

I've migrated an international traveling company infrastructure to Azure cloud. All Sites (Netherlands, Germany and Belgium) are connected with vpn's. All the user profiles and user data are migrated to a new domain with permissions kept in place. Setup of a load balanced, 5 hosts RDS Farm. Writing of a custom powershell script that shutdowns hosts to save $ in the cloud. Everything is monitorred with a zabbix server using auto discovery.

Maintaining a citrix xenapp 6.5 with 3 nodes.

Designing small kmo network (1-50) users.

Optimizing Fortigates on IPS filtering, CPU and memory, ipsec vpn's,...
